At Activity Playgrounds, quality is embedded into every stage of our process, from material selection and fabrication through to installation and handover.

Our playground equipment is manufactured in Victoria using galvanised steel, commercial-grade components and UV-resistant materials. All equipment supplied and installed by Activity Playgrounds Pty Ltd is designed to meet and exceed relevant Australian Standards and is supported by structured warranty coverage.

Built for Strength & Durability

We manufacture our playground equipment using galvanised structural steel and high-performance play components designed for long-term outdoor use.

Our construction approach includes:

• Galvanised steel frameworks with protective powder coat finishes
• Commercial-grade fibreglass and roto-moulded slides
• UV-resistant HDPE activity panels
• Steel wire core rope systems
• Anti-tamper fixings and hardware

Materials and finishes are selected specifically for high-use school and public environments exposed to harsh Australian weather conditions.

Warranty Periods

Equipment supplied and installed by Activity Playgrounds Pty Ltd is guaranteed against structural failure due to corrosion, deterioration or faulty workmanship from the date of installation for the following periods:

  1. All stationary steel items – 15 years

  2. Sealed timber – 5 years

  3. Spring rockers and spinners – 5 years

  4. Moving parts – 2 years

  5. Plastic components, swing seats, fibreglass and wire core ropes – 2 years

  6. Installation workmanship – 1 year against faulty workmanship

  7. Replacement wear parts – 6 months against failure under normal operating conditions

Warranty coverage applies to materials and workmanship and does not extend to normal wear and tear, vandalism, misuse or accidental damage.

Our structured warranty reflects the durability of our materials and our confidence in our manufacturing processes.

Compliance with Australian Standards

All equipment supplied and installed by Activity Playgrounds Pty Ltd is designed to meet and exceed the following Australian Standards:

  1. AS 4685.0:2017 – Playground equipment and surfacing, Part 0: Development, installation, inspection, maintenance and operation

  2. AS 4685.1:2021 – General safety requirements and test methods

  3. AS 4685.2:2021 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for swings

  4. AS 4685.3:2021 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for slides

  5. AS 4685.4:2021 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for cableways

  6. AS 4685.5:2021 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for carousels

  7. AS 4685.6:2021 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for rocking equipment

  8. AS 4685.11:2014 – Additional specific safety requirements and test methods for spatial networks

  9. AS 4422:2016 – Playground surfacing: Specifications, requirements and test methods
