Central Park, Armstrong Creek, Victoria
A Landmark Playground with Imagination at Its Core
A one-of-a-kind anchor-shaped playground at Central Park, Armstrong Creek—designed to spark imagination, adventure, and community connection.

Project Overview

Project Snapshot

This iconic playground for the Anchoridge Estate in Armstrong Creek, VIC is custom-designed to stand out. Featuring a unique anchor-shaped layout and soaring 8.3m high structure, the playspace is both visually striking and endlessly entertaining. Completed in partnership with Flemings Landscape, the result is a thrilling destination playground that invites families to explore, climb, and connect.

Designing for Adventure

Drawing inspiration from the estate’s name and coastal location, the playground was designed in the shape of an anchor—making it an immediate standout in the local landscape. Timber has been used throughout to soften the look and tie into the surrounding environment, while climbing structures and elevated platforms were included to challenge and engage children of varying ages and abilities. This creative and ambitious design was brought to life through a close collaboration with Flemings Landscape.

Playground Features & Range Used

The centrepiece of the playground is a towering 8.3m custom-built combination unit that includes a dramatic tube slide styled to mirror the curved shape of an anchor. A smaller tube slide was also included for younger users. Natural timber staircases, cargo nets, and climbing features encourage adventurous movement and imaginative play. The inclusion of a timber cube fort invites open-ended storytelling, transforming the playspace into a ship, a castle, or a hideout—whatever children can dream up.
