Project Overview

Benaud Close Reserve in Keilor East has been revitalised with a vibrant new playground designed to encourage active play, social interaction and exploration for children of all ages.

Working with Moonee Valley City Council, this upgrade features a custom Resilience combination unit complemented by a range of standalone play elements that provide diverse play experiences throughout the space. The result is a bright, welcoming playspace that offers climbing, balancing, swinging, spinning and imaginative play opportunities for the local community.

A playground designed to inspire courage, confidence, and resilience through movement and exploration.

Design & Layout

The playground centres around a custom Resilience combination unit featuring multiple towers connected by bridges, climbing elements and activity panels. Children can navigate the structure using a variety of access points before choosing between two colourful slides to return to ground level.

A bold orange and green colour palette was selected throughout the playspace, creating a bright and energetic environment that stands out within the reserve while adding a sense of fun and excitement for young visitors.

The surrounding play elements have been carefully positioned to create a balanced play experience, allowing children to move freely between climbing, swinging, spinning and imaginative play activities while maintaining clear sightlines throughout the space.
